Girls’ Sports, Athletics and Character Development Coach – JK to Grade 12Position Overview
An-Noor Private School and Windsor Islamic High School are seeking a full-time Girls’ Sports, Athletics and Character Development Coach to lead gym-based sports and physical activities for female students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12.
At our schools, the gym is more than a place for physical exercise. Sports provide an important opportunity for students to develop discipline, perseverance, confidence, teamwork, humility, self-control and respect for others. The coach will help our girls develop these qualities within an Islamic environment and understand that good character, effort and conduct are as important as athletic ability and winning.
The successful candidate will be a positive role model who encourages students to become physically active, mentally strong and confident while maintaining Islamic values, modesty and respectful behaviour.
For younger students, the coach will provide enjoyable, age-appropriate movement, active play and introductory sports activities. For intermediate and secondary students, the role will increasingly focus on organized sports, team development, competitive training, and preparation for WECSSAA and other inter-school competitions.
This is a practical, gym-based coaching position. It does not involve classroom teaching, academic assessment or responsibility for the formal Health and Physical Education curriculum.
