Golden Hills International is seeking a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) International Student Advisor to join our team, commencing immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You'll help students navigate one of the most important experiences of their lives while building meaningful relationships with schools, host families, agents, and international partners.
The role works collaboratively with a team of International Student Services Advisors and focuses on student admissions, ongoing support, and program coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that International students have a positive, safe, and successful experience while studying within Golden Hills School Division.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- reviewing and processing student applications.
- Assisting students through the admissions and acceptance process for studying in Canada.
- coordinating admissions and placements with school administrators.
- Supporting emergency situations.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with International education agents, representatives, and partner organizations.
- Assisting with International recruitment initiatives, promotional materials, presentations, and virtual or in-person events.
- Maintaining accurate student records using division databases and software systems.
- Collaborating with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and other organizations regarding student documentation and requirements.
Assisting other members of the International Student Services team as required. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software platforms.
