Harrison Pensa is actively recruiting a Legal Assistant in our Real Estate Group. We are looking for a self-driven individual who has a high attention to detail that will be successful in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

Be responsible for the day to day carriage of residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, financings and refinancings;
Assist the Lawyer with the preparation of transactional documents for residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, financings and refinancings;
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Lawyer, including scheduling appointments and performing a variety of administrative duties;
Communication with clients, financial institutions and other internal and external parties;
Preparing reports of transactions to clients and other external parties;
Opening files, Preparation of invoices, accounts and closing of files;
Diarizing files to ensure deadlines are met;
Other duties as required.

The successful candidate ideally has the following qualifications:

Post-secondary Law Clerk Diploma or related discipline;
4-6 years’ Law Clerk/ Legal assistant experience in Real Estate Law;
Dynamic self-starter with ability to prioritize workload;
Highly organized and detail oriented with time management skills to manage a fast-paced practice;
Courteous, client focused and professional attitude;
Ability to learn quickly and be a team player;
Experience with Unity, iManage and Aderant considered an asset;
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard legal industry software.

We offer a salary commensurate with experience and a collegial environment.

The expected compensation range for this role is between $54,000 and $62,000.
