We are looking for a Training & Workforce Development Coordinator to support workforce development initiatives, training programs, industry engagement activities, and employer supports throughout the province.

About the Opportunity
In this role, you will:
· Support workforce development across Newfoundland and Labrador's tourism industry
· Help businesses build stronger teams through training, skills development, and employee engagement initiatives
· Support service excellence and professionalism across the visitor economy
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and deliver Hospitality NL’s workforce development initiatives and training programs throughout the province
· Facilitate workshops, webinars, presentations, and learning sessions for industry employers and employees
· Promote participation in Hospitality NL’s training and workforce development initiatives
· Identify workforce trends, industry needs, and opportunities to strengthen skills development within the tourism sector
· Support industry outreach, employer engagement, and partnership development activities
· Coordinate program logistics, registrations, reporting, evaluation, and participant support
· Maintain program records, databases, and performance metrics
· Represent Hospitality NL at industry events, meetings, conferences, and workforce development initiatives
· Track and report on program outcomes, participation levels, and project impacts

· Strong customer service orientation and commitment to supporting industry success
· Comfort with technology, databases, virtual meeting platforms, Microsoft Office, and learning management systems
· Ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve processes
Education and Experience
· Post-secondary education in Tourism, Business, Adult Education, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience delivering training, facilitating workshops, coordinating programs, or supporting workforce development initiatives
· Experience in, instructional design, or adult learning is considered an asset
· Knowledge of Newfoundland and Labrador's tourism industry is considered an asset
· Experience working in a not-for-profit, membership-based organization, or industry association is considered an asset
· Ability to travel throughout Newfoundland and Labrador
· A valid driver's licence
Position Details
· Full-time, one-year contract position, with the potential for renewal subject to funding and performance.
Salary: Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
