Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Laser Operator in our Saskatoon, SK location. The successful candidate will be responsible for Laser cutting; steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts on the Lasers. This position will require someone who is able to work varying shift rotations.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug screen.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operating a forklift and crane
- Loading raw material on laser beds
- Removing cut parts from sheet material
- Cleaning and labeling of parts
- Updating work information in a computer system by recording time worked and job numbers
- Moving product around the plant using a forklift
- Cleaning machinery and workspaces
- Contributing to efforts at continuous quality and efficiency improvement
