We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
This position is currently part-time; however, as our client base continues to grow, the role is expected to develop into a full-time position.

Position Overview
The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting day-to-day bookkeeping, client record maintenance, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and financial reporting preparation.
The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, comfortable working with multiple clients, and able to manage deadlines in a professional accounting environment.
This role requires someone who takes pride in clean, accurate books and understands that good bookkeeping is the foundation for strong client reporting, tax preparation, and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including data entry, transaction categorization, and record keeping.
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, and other client bookkeeping platforms.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
Perform bank, credit card, loan, and general ledger reconciliations.
Review accounts for accuracy and identify discrepancies, missing information, or unusual transactions.
Assist with payroll processing and related reporting where required.
Support month-end bookkeeping processes and preparation of management reports.
Prepare financial information and supporting schedules for management review, tax preparation, and client advisory work.
Communicate with clients and internal team members to request missing information and clarify transactions.
Ensure client files are organized, accurate, and maintained in accordance with firm procedures.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities where required.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client financial information.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
Proficiency with bookkeeping/accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, or Xero.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger review.
Experience working with payroll is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep files and supporting documents clean and complete.
Ability to identify issues, ask questions, and follow up on missing or unclear information.
Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients and team members.
Comfortable working independently while also being part of a growing firm.
