Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QA/QC Inspector is responsible for performing inspection, verification, and non-conformance management activities to ensure fabrication and materials comply with applicable codes, standards, and project quality requirements within the oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, and energy sectors.
Position Description
- Perform inspections of materials, welding, and fabrication activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes (CSA, ASME, etc.)
- Inspect in-progress and completed work to verify adherence to drawings, procedures, and quality standards
- Review and verify Material Test Reports (MTRs), material traceability, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate and witness required inspections and testing, including internal and third-party activities
- Interface directly with clients, inspectors, and regulatory authorities on quality matters
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records in accordance with project requirements and LamSar’s Quality Manual
- Identify, document, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); support tracking and resolution of deficiencies
- Communicate inspection results and quality issues to project teams, operations, and Quality Management
- Support development and execution of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) in coordination with Operations and Quality
- Monitor compliance with approved procedures, codes, and project-specific quality requirements
- Support audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives as required

Education & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field (required)
- CWB Level I or equivalent (required)
- NDT Level II (UT/MT/RT/LP) (preferred)
Conversant in the following codes:
- B31.1/B31.3
- Sections I, II, V, VIII, IX Div. 1
- API 510, 570, 1169
- CSA welding standards
Skills & Experience
- 2-5+ years QA/QC experience in oil & gas and petrochemical industries
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Proven experience inspecting welding, materials, and fabrication processes
- Experience with NDT/NDE processes or coordination thereof
- Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001
- Experience working with TSSA
- Proven ability to issue and manage NCRs and track non-conformances
- Proven experience working within ASME, CSA, and ISO frameworks
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
