Job Summary
We are hiring a Full/Part-Time Yard Person to support our lumberyard operations in Revelstoke. This role is hands-on and customer-facing, responsible for maintaining yard organization, safely handling materials, and assisting customers with loading and product support.

What You’ll Do
- Load, unload, and store lumber and building materials
- Assist customers with gathering and loading orders
- Operate yard equipment safely (forklift, pallet jack, lumber cart, banding equipment)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
- Receive incoming merchandise and check against invoices
- Identify and report damaged goods, shortages, or backorders
- Restock lumber bins, sheds, and yard inventory
- Process and follow up on special orders
- Support deliveries and pickups as required
- Monitor for theft or safety concerns and report according to policy
- Assist with training new employees when required
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Build positive relationships with contractors, homeowners, and coworkers.
- Provide prompt, friendly, and professional customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a lumberyard, building materials, warehouse, construction, or retail environment is an asset
- Forklift certification is an asset (training provided)
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Available to work weekends and statutory holidays as required
- Ability to lift and move materials 60+ lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
