Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of Saw Operator in our Regina, SK location. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift including Saws / Cranes and or any other equipment used
Perform all tasks safely and as directed
Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety
Be a team player
Perform all tasks in a professional respectful manner
Any other tasks that may be assigned by management
Participate in all company directed training
Responsible for selecting the correct material (bar and tube products) in order to saw cut customer orders as required
Organize work to consistently meet established production and quality targets.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- May be required to work rotating shifts
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to operate the overhead crane / forklift
- Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / calipers
- Self motivated, results oriented
- Previous experience an asset
Starting Hourly Rate: $26.28
Fully Trained Hourly Rate: $33.58
