The School of Arts and Education is seeking a Sessional (Term-Certain, 8.5 Month) Instructor with expertise in Painting, Drawing, and 2D Fundamentals (e.g. colour theory, line, perspective).
The successful candidate will be able to teach the following 6 courses on campus in Red Deer, Alberta:
Fall 2026
- ART 1241/ART 1243: Drawing I and II
- ART 2351/2353: Drawing II and III with supervision of Independent Studies 3rd Year Students embedded in the course.
Winter 2027:
- ART 1231: 2D Visual Fundamentals
- ART 2351/2353: Drawing II and III with supervision of Independent Studies 3rd Year Students embedded in the course.
Visual Art Faculty in the School of Arts and Education typically teach 6 studio courses (3 studio courses per term). The schedule for 2026-2027 is finalized and cannot be changed.
Faculty in Visual Art primarily teach on campus. This position requires a regular on-campus presence.
