Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Auxiliary Bénéficiaires (PAB) to provide essential support and care to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care. This role involves assisting with daily activities, medication management, and maintaining a safe, clean environment to promote well-being and independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Perform household cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Support residents with activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the well-being of residents and staff
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is a must, such as PDSB & CPR certificate
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care at all times
Pay: $16.60-$20.60 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
