Dermalogica is seeking a motivated, skin care savvy Retail Associate to contribute to our growing retail business by leading all sales and training initiatives at our Montreal and surrounding area Sephora locations. You will work to engage and excite both Beauty Advisors and clients alike. The Retail Associate will work with the Sephora Account Manager to uphold visual merchandising standards, provide quality sales support to achieve sales objectives for your designated Sephora location businesses, and supporting events throughout the assigned territory.
What you will do:
Support retail sales ‘on-stage’
- Approach clients, connect and engage in conversation to drive sales
- Achieve provided retail sales goals
- Encourage clients to “play”/try the product and experience a service while shopping in-store
- Ensure that Dermalogica products are neat and tidy and placed according to store planogram
- Adhere to dress code specifications as set by Sephora/Dermalogica
- Provide brand agnostic recommendations to the client and be prepared to support clients visiting other ‘worlds’ within the store
- Complete reports on promotional results, sales targets and qualitative feedback as needed
- Support the Sephora Accounts Manager as needed
Event Support
- Achieve retail sales goals
- Give Dermalogica concept such as Face Mapping Skin Analysis
- Seeking customers in-store to participate in the event
- Assist set up and pack down of event materials
- Portray the most polished and professional image to the client
- Complete reports on promotional results, sales targets and qualitative feedback
Administration Duties
- Complete Sephora & Dermalogica required reports after every store visit
- Adhere to calendar schedule managed by Sephora Account Manager to meet Dermalogica’s expectation of store visit frequency. Must communicate any scheduling conflicts in a timely manner, (24-48 hours once schedule is communicated).
- Responding to emails from the Sephora Account Manager in a timely manner
- Communicate store and stock concerns to Sephora Account Manager to support the business
Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to represent Dermalogica’s clean and professional image at all times. A company dress and grooming code is to be followed at all times when representing Dermalogica in-store. This position requires the successful candidate to stand for long periods of time, the ability to lift heavy objects, carry equipment and materials is also necessary.
- Part-time, up to 20 hours weekly
- Must be able to work Thursday – Sunday shifts
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English and French speaking) is required
- Minimum two years of proven sales success in luxury/beauty retail
- Experience in the Sephora retail environment is an asset
- Have excellent communication skills
- Possess energy, enthusiasm and a passion for the skin care industry
- Feel comfortable networking
- Be flexible and able to easily adapt in various situations
- Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Must be able to work Thursday – Sunday shifts
