Position Overview
The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the leadership of Tsay Keh Dene Nation. This position provides high-level administrative, logistical, and communications support to Chief & Council and the Executive Director. The successful candidate will be highly organized, professional, and capable of managing confidential and time-sensitive information while ensuring effective governance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule Council meetings, workshops, community meetings, and leadership travel.
- Prepare and distribute agendas, briefing packages, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
- Track Council motions, resolutions, and action items, ensuring follow-up and completion.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director including calendar management, communications, and document preparation.
- Draft, review, and format reports, letters, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Act as a primary point of contact for Council and the Executive Director, ensuring timely information flow with staff, membership, and external partners.
- Maintain confidential records, filing systems, and governance documentation.
- Support communications with membership, including notices, updates, and meeting materials.
- Assist with coordination of special events, official delegations, and leadership activities.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Office Administration, Business/Public Administration, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of senior-level administrative or executive support experience.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working with First Nations leadership, governance, or administration is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to travel.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
