Datcha is growing, and we're looking for a highly organized, solutions-focused Kitchen Supervisor / Operations Lead to oversee kitchen operations across three locations. Position Overview
The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining food safety compliance, managing inventory, coordinating staff schedules, and implementing systems and procedures that support growth and consistency across multiple locations.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines culinary operations with business management.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
- Oversee kitchen operations across three locations
- Lead, coach, and support kitchen staff
- Create and manage staff schedules
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions
- Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all locations meet food safety and sanitation standards
- Conduct routine inspections and audits
- Train staff on food handling, cleaning, and safety procedures
- Maintain temperature logs, cleaning records, and compliance documentation
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels and ordering requirements
- Reduce waste and improve inventory management practices
- Coordinate purchasing and supplier relationships
- Assist with food cost analysis and operational efficiencies
Systems & Process Improvement
- Create systems that improve efficiency and consistency
- Implement operational best practices across all locations
- Develop training materials and procedures
- Analyze workflows and recommend improvements
Food Preparation
- Assist with food preparation and production as required
- Support kitchen teams during peak periods
- Ensure recipes and standards are consistently followed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary leadership, kitchen management, or business operations role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience managing schedules and supervising teams
- Inventory control and ordering experience
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Experience implementing systems, procedures, and operational improvements is considered a strong asset
