Z Force Farm is a growing nursery and landscaping company specializing in trees, shrubs, plants, and landscape design across the GTA. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, and customer-focused Nursery Worker / Sales Associate to join our team.
Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable individual to work in our nursery and assist customers with their plant and landscaping needs. This is a hands-on position that combines nursery work, plant care, customer service, and sales.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and gardening, enjoy working outdoors, and be comfortable performing physical tasks. Responsibilities will include caring for plants, maintaining the nursery, assisting customers with plant selections, loading purchases, organizing inventory, and keeping the property clean and presentable.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selecting trees, shrubs, perennials, and other nursery products
- Provide basic knowledge and recommendations regarding plant selection, care, and placement
- Sell nursery products and assist customers throughout the purchasing process
- Water, maintain, prune, and care for plants and trees
- Organize and maintain plant inventory and nursery displays
- Load trees, shrubs, plants, soil, and other products into customer vehicles
- Assist with receiving, unloading, moving, and organizing plant inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive nursery environment
- Help prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery
- Assist with general nursery and garden centre duties as required
- Follow proper procedures when handling plants, tools, equipment, and materials
- Answer customer questions and provide friendly, professional service
- Support the team with day-to-day nursery operations
Requirements
- Passion for plants, gardening, and landscaping
- Previous nursery, garden centre, landscaping, horticulture, or retail experience is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting and moving plants, trees, soil, and other materials
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Willingness to learn about plants and nursery products
- Horticulture, Landscape Design, or related education is an asset
- Previous sales experience is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
5 days per week
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend availability may be required depending on nursery operations.
