Position Overview:
The Senior Creative Designer is a hands-on, experienced contributor who plays an active role in campaign concept development and delivers high-quality creative across multiple channels.
Reporting to the Dealership Marketing Manager, you will work with the broader marketing team and dealership stakeholders to translate business priorities, promotional offers and OEM programs into clear, compelling creative.
This design-focused role requires strong workflow habits, clear communication and exceptional attention to detail. You will contribute original ideas, strengthen unclear messaging or visual hierarchy, maintain organized briefs, timelines, feedback and approvals, and manage multiple brands and projects from concept through final delivery in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Development and Design
- Contribute original ideas and visual concepts, translating marketing briefs and business objectives into clear, adaptable campaign directions.
- Create and adapt campaign assets across paid media, websites, social media, digital displays, print, signage and dealership events, and support the design, build, QA and deployment of email campaigns.
- Present concepts, explain key design decisions and recommend improvements when messaging, hierarchy or creative direction is unclear.
- Use AI-assisted and emerging creative tools to enhance ideation, improve efficiency, refine creative execution and support copy development for email campaigns, subject lines and other marketing content.
2. Brand, Quality and Production
- Maintain each dealership’s unique brand identity while adhering to applicable OEM standards.
- Ensure vehicle imagery, offers, pricing, dates, disclaimers and campaign details are accurate and clearly presented, while maintaining organized project files and final assets in SharePoint.
- Maintain high standards in typography, layout, composition, colour and image quality, carefully reviewing all work before release.
- Prepare production-ready digital and print files and develop organized templates and reusable assets that improve consistency and efficiency.
3. Collaboration, Campaign Management and Workflow
- Serve as the primary creative contact for assigned dealerships, maintaining clear communication around upcoming priorities, promotions, creative needs and revisions.
- Manage assigned campaigns and creative requests through Monday.com, maintaining accurate briefs, timelines, feedback, revisions, approvals and project status.
- Coordinate with marketing, social media, web, video, paid media and dealership teams to move projects from initial brief through final delivery.
- Consolidate feedback, resolve conflicting direction professionally and communicate proactively when missing information, approvals or changing timelines may affect delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
- Four to six years of relevant professional design, advertising or campaign experience, or a portfolio demonstrating equivalent senior-level capability.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with a strong command of typography, layout, composition, colour and visual hierarchy.
- Experience developing original concepts and integrated digital and print campaigns, including the thoughtful use of AI-assisted and emerging creative tools.
- Strong knowledge of print production, file preparation and quality-control requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and workflow management, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations, work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and dealership stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communication, advertising, marketing or a related field.
- Experience in an agency, in-house marketing department, retail organization or multi-brand environment.
- Experience building and deploying campaigns through email marketing platforms, along with familiarity with Canva, Monday.com, WordPress or motion graphics.
- Automotive or powersports experience and familiarity with OEM brand standards are assets but not required. Strong creative judgment, adaptability and portfolio quality are more important.
