Stewart Aviation is the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at Peterborough Airport (CYPQ). We provide a full range of aviation ground support services, including:
- Aircraft arrivals and departures
- Aircraft marshalling and parking
- Aircraft refuelling
- Ground support equipment services
- Cargo handling
- Aircraft ground de-icing operations
- Flight handling and customer service

To provide clean aviation fuel and exceptional customer & ramp services at YPQ.
Position Summary
Reporting to the FBO Manager, the Ramp Agent / Customer Service Agent is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional ramp and customer services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Refuel aircraft safely and perform fuel quality control and equipment inspections.
- Provide aircraft marshalling, ramp services, and apron management.
- Process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash.
- Coordinate rental vehicles, hotel accommodations, and catering services for flight crews and passengers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe office and fuelling operation.
- Comply with all company policies and health and safety regulations.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to obtain a clean criminal background check and be bondable.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to Peterborough Airport.
- Comfortable communicating using two-way radios.
- Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing stepladders.
- Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to accurately distinguish the colours of aviation fuels.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Successfully complete all company training programs.
- Able to work independently on shifts between 6:00 a.m. and midnight, including overnight call-outs.
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- Knowledge of aircraft operations.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), WHMIS, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Experience with cargo shipping and receiving.
- Previous aviation or FBO experience.
Education
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Hours of Operation
Stewart Aviation operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Successful candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including:
- Weekdays
- Weekends and statutory holidays
- Early mornings
- Evenings
- Overnight call-outs
Compensation
- Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (with opportunity for Full-Time)
- Hours: Approximately 10–25+ hours per week
- Wage: $21.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
