Your Role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Branch Supervisor ensures the day-to-day performance of branch operations with a goal to achieving financial targets and business growth for their location. The role oversees counter sales, margin, expense control, inventory levels, warehouse operations, health and safety compliance, and branch administration.

Champion client experience initiatives with the goal of achieving superior customer service levels.
Coach, develop and provide leadership to branch employees.
Ensure branch administration completed as per the policies and procedures of the company.
Coordinate employee scheduling; assign work instructions and delegate tasks.
Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity.
Reduce slow moving and obsolete merchandise at branch level.
Coordinate purchasing of non-stock material in accordance with Desco’s buying policy.
Participate in the technical areas of branch operations when required; fielding customer calls, entering orders, quotations, etc.
Coordinate branch events, contractor training, promotions, etc.
Responsible for health and safety of equipment, employees, customers and visitors to the location; ensures branch housekeeping standards are maintained.
Ensure the safekeeping of company assets; structure, equipment, inventory and cash.
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Perform other duties, as required based on business needs.

What You Offer

3+ years’ sales and technical experience in plumbing and heating or related industry,
2+ years’ experience in a managerial capacity preferred,
Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent work experience,
Computer literate and proficient in MS Office,
Enthusiastic and engaged with customers and employees,
Excellent selling, communication and negotiations skills, and
Prioritizing, time management and organization skills.
