Fix Auto-Groupe Salsa is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team at our head office.
Please note: The work location listed in this posting is for reference only. Depending on operational needs and your place of residence, opportunities may also be available at one of our other collision repair facilities located throughout the Greater Montreal area.

Position Summary
The Auto Body Technician is responsible for performing skilled collision repairs and vehicle restoration. The successful candidate restores damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, functionality, and appearance. This role requires the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized repair systems to repair or replace damaged components while ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry safety standards.
The technician will work with various materials, including steel, aluminum, plastics, glass, and mechanical and electrical components, while collaborating closely with the paint department to maintain an efficient repair process.
Key Responsibilities
* Review damage reports, repair orders, and repair estimates to determine the work required.
* Plan and manage assigned work to meet production and efficiency targets.
* Repair or replace front-end components, body panels, doors, frame, and underbody components according to manufacturer specifications.
* Remove dents, buckles, and other damage using appropriate body repair tools.
* Operate welding equipment and use plastic fillers when required.
* Remove and replace damaged fenders, panels, grilles, and structural components.
* Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling equipment.
* Grind, file, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
* Mask and prepare vehicles for the painting process.
* Repair or replace automotive glass, including windshields, windows, and sunroofs.
* Repair or replace interior components such as seat frames, carpeting, and floor insulation.
* Inspect completed repairs and road-test vehicles when required to ensure proper operation.
* Install replacement and accessory equipment.
* Perform first-, second-, and third-level repairs, as well as vehicle modifications.
* Monitor parts usage and report material concerns.
* Assist with ordering replacement parts, equipment, and shop supplies.
* Complete work orders, repair documentation, and time records accurately.
* Test repaired components to ensure quality standards are met while minimizing rework and warranty claims.
* Maintain accurate reports and repair documentation.
* Stay up to date with industry technologies and repair techniques.
* Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
* Minimum **3 years of experience** in a similar collision repair role.
* High school diploma required; formal training in Auto Body Repair is considered an asset.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to lift up to **100 lbs (45 kg)**.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
**Full-time**
**40 hours per week**
Pay: $24.00-$39.00 per hour
