We are looking for a highly organized, dependable, and hands-on Warehouse Assistant / Quality Assurance Specialist to support our construction and foundation repair operations.
This is a hybrid role combining warehouse and inventory management with on-site quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our crews have the proper materials, tools, and equipment required for each project while also visiting active and completed job sites to ensure work meets company standards.
This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who is organized, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working both independently and with field crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day organization and operation of the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and properly store incoming materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for construction materials, tools, and supplies.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and communicate purchasing requirements before materials run out.
- Prepare and stage materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and Foremen to ensure crews are properly equipped before leaving for job sites.
- Track tools and equipment assigned to company vehicles and crews.
- Inspect returned tools and equipment for damage, cleanliness, and required maintenance.
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance for tools and equipment.
- Help maintain company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and storage areas.
- Reduce material waste, loss, and unnecessary purchasing through proper inventory controls.
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles and deliveries.
- Maintain records for inventory, equipment, maintenance, and material usage.
Job Site Quality Assurance
- Visit active and completed job sites throughout the Ottawa area to perform quality-control inspections.
- Review work against job scopes, contracts, drawings, photos, and company installation standards.
- Inspect workmanship at key stages of foundation repair and waterproofing projects.
- Identify deficiencies, incomplete work, property damage, or potential concerns before project completion.
- Document site conditions and completed work with detailed photographs and notes.
- Communicate deficiencies or concerns promptly to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate with Foremen and crews to ensure deficiencies are corrected.
- Complete final quality-control inspections when required.
- Ensure job sites are left clean, safe, and professional, including proper cleanup of debris and construction materials.
- Have clients sign off on the work
- Confirm customer property, landscaping, driveways, walkways, and surrounding areas have been appropriately protected and restored.
- Assist management with investigating warranty concerns, callbacks, or workmanship issues.
- Help identify recurring field issues and recommend improvements to procedures, training, materials, or equipment.
Qualifications
- G license required
- Previous construction experience required; foundation repair, waterproofing, concrete, excavation, landscaping, or similar experience is a strong asset.
- Previous warehouse, inventory, quality-control, or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to understand job scopes, measurements, drawings, and construction specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify workmanship deficiencies.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving construction materials and equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50.0 – 60.0 per week
