The OCC Duty Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the daily flight schedule, ensuring customer expectations and commitments are met.
Reporting to: Chief Duty Manager
- Decision making, contingency planning, as well as developing, coordinating and communicating recovery plans in the event of irregular operations;
- Tracking and reporting all operational irregularities affecting on time performance and/or those which negatively impact our customers, and/or have a negative financial effect on Company operations;
- Initiating emergency response procedures, in accordance with the Corporate Emergency Response Plan;
- Determining, communicating, and implementing the best Company plan or solution in keeping with safety objectives, customer service responsibilities, and profitability, while managing short range scope of the company's flight schedule;
- Assisting Charter Sales, MCC and other operational departments in various tasks;
- Managing the cancellation or consolidation of any scheduled flights; authorizing delays, and notifying the appropriate departments of any changes to scheduled operations;
- Providing managers with available options in the event of irregular operations;
- Monitoring “Key Performance Indicators”;
- Ensuring that accidents, incidents or hazards are reported appropriately and within a timely manner;
- Assisting with safety investigations;
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, OCC; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent related work experience
- Two (2) years of previous experience
- A customer focused mind-set
- Previous administrative experience or related considered an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of all company aircraft operating practices and limitations
- Comprehensive knowledge of all operations
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
- Bilingualism considered an asset
- Experience with SABRE and AIMS preferred
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Must possess strong negotiation skills
- Must possess clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a high level of energy with superior organizational & interpersonal skills
- Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Must have proven customer service skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Must be available to work shift work including overnights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset
- Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
