Experienced Water & Sewer Pipeline Layer
Riverstone Excavation & Underground Ltd. is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Water & Sewer Pipeline Layer to join our team.

This is a full-time, year-round position for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and understands that precision matters.
Responsibilities
- Install municipal watermains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewer systems.
- Install residential and commercial water and sewer service connections.
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, site plans, and grading plans.
- Set pipe to precise line and grade using pipe lasers and surveying equipment.
- Calculate and maintain accurate invert elevations.
- Install manholes, catch basins, hydrants, valves, valve chambers, water services, and sewer services.
- Install bedding, geotextile, clear stone, and backfill materials to specification.
- Work safely around existing underground utilities.
- Assist with road crossings, culverts, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, compactors, and other equipment when required.
- Work closely with the foreman and operators to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with extensive experience in underground water and sewer construction.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years of pipeline installation experience (more is preferred).
- Strong knowledge of municipal water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer construction.
- Ability to read engineered drawings and construction specifications.
- Experience using pipe lasers and calculating invert elevations.
- Excellent understanding of line and grade.
- Strong knowledge of trench safety and Ontario regulations.

- Water Services
- Sewer Services
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
- DZ Licence is an asset but not required.
