We are looking for a Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities for Canada, while supporting regional and global tax initiatives. This role combines hands-on oversight of compliance processes with strategic advisory to the business, ensuring alignment with global tax frameworks and local regulations.
You will act as a trusted in-house advisor, partnering closely with finance, business leaders, and global tax SMEs to manage tax risks, drive compliance excellence, and support key business decisions.
Tax Advisory & Business Partnering

Provide tax advisory support to stakeholders on business transactions and strategic initiatives

Translate complex tax regulations into practical business guidance

Support decision-making through analysis, interpretation of tax laws, and external benchmarking
Tax Compliance & Reporting

Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax filings and reporting

Supervise tax return preparation performed by shared services (e.g., GBS) and ensure accuracy and timeliness

Ensure proper tax accounting, documentation, and record maintenance

Monitor and ensure compliance with local and global tax regulations
Risk Management & Governance

Identify, assess, and manage tax risks and exposures

Support and manage tax audits and disputes, working with external advisors

Ensure effective implementation of tax policies, controls, and governance frameworks
Transfer Pricing & Global Initiatives

Support the implementation of transfer pricing policies and intercompany transactions

Collaborate with global teams on initiatives such as Pillar Two / global minimum tax compliance

Contribute to cross-market projects and reporting activities

Lead and develop a small team (Tax Supervisor and Analysts)

Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management

Ensure team priorities are clear and aligned with business objectives

7–10+ years of experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational environment
-
Background in Big 4 (tax advisory or compliance) is strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Legal with tax compliance advisory experience

Strong corporate tax expert with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally

Experience with transfer pricing and intercompany transactions

Exposure to international tax frameworks (e.g., Pillar Two) is a plus

Collaborative and skilled at stakeholder management across functions and geographies.

Comfortable working in a complex, highly regulated environment

Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to simplify complexity for business leaders

Strong people leader with a focus on team development and coaching

Experience managing or mentoring team members

For this position, the salary starts at $145,400 CAD annual based.
