The Opportunity
This is not a traditional inside/outside sales role.
You won’t be sitting around waiting for leads to arrive.
Your primary responsibility will be identifying prospects, initiating conversations, nurturing relationships, preparing quotations, and ensuring opportunities move through our sales pipeline.
You will work directly with company leadership and play a key role in driving future growth.
As your knowledge and experience grow, you will also be involved in estimating and preparing quotations for customers, helping to transform inquiries into profitable work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and identify potential customers and strategic targets
- Build prospect lists within manufacturing, industrial, construction, mining, and OEM sectors
- Conduct outbound phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Meet with potential and existing customers on your own and with members of management
- Introduce DLJ’s capabilities to prospective customers
- Schedule meetings for company leadership
Estimating & Quoting
- Review customer inquiries and RFQs
- Prepare quotations for fabricated products, assemblies, and industrial equipment
- Request pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist with costing materials, labour, and production requirements
- Work with management to develop pricing strategies
- Follow up on submitted quotations and proposals
- Track quotation success rates and sales opportunities
- Help identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability
CRM & Opportunity Management
- Maintain and update customer information
- Track opportunities and follow-up activities
- Ensure all leads, quotations, and opportunities are documented properly
- Generate pipeline and activity reports
- Monitor quote status and follow-up schedules
Sales Support
- Follow up on quotations and proposals
- Assist with bid submissions and customer documentation
- Coordinate customer visits and facility tours
- Support trade shows and industry events
- Assist with proposal preparation and presentation materials
Marketing Support
- Assist with LinkedIn and digital marketing initiatives
- Help coordinate email campaigns
- Monitor incoming website leads
- Support content development and customer communications
Relationship Building
- Develop professional relationships with customers and prospects
- Stay connected with key contacts
- Help maintain ongoing communication with existing clients
- Identify additional opportunities within existing accounts
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience in sales, estimating, quoting, business development, customer service, project coordination, or marketing
- Post-secondary education in business, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with costing, estimating, or procurement processes
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience and CRM experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable speaking with customers and prospects
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365
- Valid driver’s license

- Compensation: Base is $70,000-$75,000 per annum
- Commission: Uncapped, top performers can earn $60,000-$70,000 + annually in commissions/variable bonus
- OTE is anticipated to range on average (realistically) between $85,000-$110,000 total. Strong performers could range between $110,000-$130,000
