The Account Executive Engineer (AE) is a dynamic and technically challenging role. As an AE, you will be assigned a suite of accounts and become their main technical and commercial point of contact for Schaeffler Aerospace. You will learn your customers' products, design requirements, and advise them on the technical details of bearing design and manufacture. Internally, you will work with various Schaeffler teams to deliver on your customer's technical and commercial requirements. You will be challenged to grow your accounts by identifying opportunities that align with Schaeffler's capabilities and take the lead on securing new business. Fostering a positive working relationship with your customers and colleagues will be instrumental to your success, along with a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, and a sense of ownership for your accounts.
- Competitive wages – $85,000 - $100,000 annually plus sales bonus;

As a key member of the Sales and Engineering Team, you will:
- Manage the largest aerospace OEM accounts.
- Drive profitable growth through excellent customer service and excellent engineering knowledge.
- Strengthen long term relationships with customers among global leading Aerospace companies by supporting new product introduction, with the latest technologies, and improving reliability of existing products.
- Act as trusted technical advisor to the customer by working closely with internal experts and understanding the solutions required.
- Position Schaeffler for market success through commercial and technical negotiations.
- Act as the voice of the customer within Schaeffler.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver on your customers technical and commercial requirements.
- Ensure excellent customer service through timely and professional communication, both virtually and in-person.
- Support the delivery of products through coordination of supply chain, customer approvals, and new qualifications.
- Manage the successful introduction of new product to the production environment using Advanced Product Quality Planning.
- Prepare and conduct negotiations related to product quantities, pricing, and other commercial conditions.
- Collect, evaluate, and report information about market trends, technologies, competitors, and customer development needs.
Your basic responsibilities will include:
- Quoting new product and design changes.
- Reviewing customer blueprints, specifications, and purchase orders.
- Negotiating commercial and legal contracts.
- Preparing and delivering presentations to customers.
- Handling day-to-day communications with your customers.
- Project management for new product introductions.
- Travel, as necessary, to your customers or other Schaeffler sites.
- Contribute to the budget planning process and plan revenues for the assigned customers.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or similar degree.
- Ability to work mostly in the office and to travel, as needed.
Preferred
- 5 years experience in aerospace or a related field.
- Sales or customer facing experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on negotiations is an asset
- Understanding of mechanical systems and their design.
- Familiarity with ferrous metallurgy.
- Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail.
- Responsiveness and customer focus.
- Commitment to product quality.
- Goal oriented with good follow-through.
- Inter-personal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
