Position Summary
The Sales and Operations Analyst at Welded Tube of Canada bridges supply chain and revenue goals. They will analyze inventory, support the forecasting of demand, optimize production schedules, and support sales teams by tracking order fulfillment, pricing accuracy, and market trends for steel pipe and tubing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Work with the Production Planning department to analyze historical sales data and market trends to predict future demand for steel tubular products.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished steel tubes to prevent shortages or excess holding costs.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with pricing analysis, contract reviews, and order status tracking.
- Product and Customer Profitability Assessment: Review historical production data to determine the profitability of future orders.
- Data Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and performance reports using ERP systems and Excel.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in order-to-delivery workflows and recommend operational fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, supply chain, or sales operations.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing, steel, metals, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems (like IFS) and data visualization tools (like Power BI or Tableau).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Communication: Strong writing and speaking skills to work between Sales and Operations management
