BioAdvance Patient Support Program Coordinator - Immunology - Independent Contractor Opportunity, New Brunswick

J&J is seeking a self-motivated independent healthcare professional with a passion for patient care to provide services to Johnson & Johnson (J&J) as an independent contractor in the capacity of BioAdvance Patient Support Program Coordinator.
This independent contractor opportunity contemplates that you will provide services from your own home or business office, in an independent capacity, as a primary point of contact with key J&J stakeholders including patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, program clinics, home service providers, private insurers, etc.
As BioAdvance operates between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, the service provider must ensure reasonable availability to provide the contracted services during those operating hours, while retaining flexibility and control over the manner and timing of service delivery consistent with program requirements.
Services will include:
- Facilitating enrollment of new patients into the Patient Support Program by obtaining referrals from prescribing physicians and collecting all pertinent information from the patient
- Ensuring patient access (reimbursement) for the prescribed therapy as soon as possible by completing and submitting all necessary medical insurance forms
· Liaising with key stakeholders (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, Program clinics, home service providers, Financial Assistance Program, private/public insurers, sales representatives, as applicable) and acting as the primary point of contact for all involved parties.
- Providing progress updates and timely follow ups to physicians regarding all respective patients
- Building trusting relationships with patients and their caregivers
- Maintaining a professional level of verbal and written communication with all involved parties
- Addressing and supporting issue resolution in a timely fashion
- Updating patient information, documenting and maintaining notes, and uploading and retaining documents, within the provided program-specific system on a regular basis to ensure that the information remains at all times accurate and current
- Ensuring availability to participate in program-specific onboarding, compliance training, meetings with physicians, and education sessions as reasonably required to perform the contracted services
The successful service provider will possess the following:
- Registered healthcare professional with certification from a Canadian Regulated Health Professions College (e.g. Nurse, Pharmacist, etc.)
- Technical knowledge of health care reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective
- A high degree of proficiency with various technologies and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Web-based tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proven ability to interact effectively with patients, health care professionals, and others within the care team
· Bilingual in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages
- The ability to work independently and remotely while coordinating with relevant program stakeholders and seeking support as required
- Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills (e.g. customer-focused, flexible, adaptable to change and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, physicians and nurses)
- Problem solving skills with the ability to mediate and negotiate the resolution of conflicts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Data analysis skills preferred
