About the role.
As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality packaging operations. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining packaging machinery while meeting McCain’s standards for safety, quality, and performance. You will work closely with your teammates to support production goals and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
What you’ll be doing.

Set up and change over packaging machinery, including computerized equipment

Operate packaging machinery to meet production and quality standards

Perform quality checks on machine operations and materials

Maintain tool shadow boards and changeover carts
-
Clean and organize work areas to support safety and efficiency

Accurately complete required production and quality paperwork

Ensure product codes and specifications are correct

Attend team meetings as required and contribute to continuous improvement

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety standards

Support SQCDPE targets by understanding KPIs and working toward daily goals

Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll need to be successful.

Grade 12 diploma or GED
-
Ability to work rotating shifts
-
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted

Experience with packaging machinery (preferred)
-
Basic computer knowledge is an asset

Ability to work with minimal supervision
-
Strong problem-solving skills and calm response to unexpected situations

Willingness to adapt to change in day-to-day operations
-
Successful completion of the required training period
-
Willingness to cross-train on other packaging equipment

Compensation Package: - Starting at 22.24 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
