JOB BRIEF
Driving instructors must have a passion for excellence, a love of driving, and, most importantly, a natural camaraderie with people. As a driver training instructor, you will
receive both great personal satisfaction and career advancement opportunities (Many
of our franchise partners and managers began their careers at YOUNG DRIVERS® as instructors). Our instructors provide both one-on-one in-car training, and after gaining experience and with additional training, can teach classroom sessions. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce a collision-free driver by effectively teaching students the YD system/approach
- Update employer-provided tablet daily with all evaluations and road test results (pass/fail, scores)
- Notify students of their progress at the end of each lesson on your YD tablet
- Teach in a clean, well-tuned, regularly maintained vehicle
- Wear YD apparel provided by management
- Maintain a valid driver’s license

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a resident of New Brunswick and hold a current New Brunswick Class 5 Driver’s License
- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving record
- No criminal record
- Instructor’s license (to be acquired following YOUNG DRIVERS® instructor training course)
SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS
- Mandatory participation in a four-week instructor training course – all course graduates are hired – next course start date September 14, 2026
- Typically, YD Instructors work five (5) days per week to include: 4 days during the week (11 am to 9 pm) and 1 day on weekends (9 am to 6 pm)
