Hire Labour Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator/Senior Fabricator to join its prestigious client Company's manufacturing team as a permanent employee.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who can build upon our strong foundation and help elevate our fabrication operations to the next level. Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings and specifications for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Provide guidance and practical training to engineering and shop personnel to improve fabrication design and production efficiency.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot sheet metal fabrication equipment, including:
- Metal Cutting Shear
- Amada CNC Punch Press
- Press Brake
- Fabricate products ranging from 10-gauge to 20-gauge sheet metal.
- Support and enhance workplace safety protocols and best practices.
- Identify production challenges and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with both experienced and entry-level shop employees.
- Work independently to solve problems and find safe, practical solutions.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy, and quality control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal forming, punching, cutting, and bending processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience setting up and operating fabrication equipment, particularly CNC punch presses and press brakes.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
