Quality & Compliance Lead

On behalf of our client, Kletke Seeds Farm, we are recruiting for a Quality & Compliance Lead. This role is responsible for leading quality, compliance, and operational processes to support efficiency and customer satisfaction. Working closely with production and office teams, this role oversees the quality management system, supports audits, supports regulatory requirements, coordinates workflows, and addresses client needs to ensure smooth plant operations from start to finish.
As the Quality & Compliance Lead, you will:
- Lead and continuously enhance the Integrated Management System, including SOPs, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks
- Drive quality standards and customer satisfaction through process improvements and strong operational alignment
- Manage internal and external audits, including corrective actions, and maintain key certifications (ISTA, CFIA, Seeds Canada, AWSA)
- Champion Health, Safety & Environment initiatives, fostering a proactive and safety-focused culture
- Establish and monitor quality objectives, delivering training to ensure consistency across teams
- Collaborate with production, plant, warehouse, and office teams to align systems with daily operations
- Coordinate production workflows by managing customer requests, preparing work orders, and scheduling plant activities
- Maintain ERP systems (Deacom/SAP), supporting documentation, shipping, invoicing, purchasing, and inventory processes
- Liaise with customers to ensure contractual requirements are met across processing, packaging, and storage activities
- Support quality control processes, including seed sampling, moisture testing, and overall operational coordination
You and Your Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a relevant quality or production-focused role (agriculture/seed/food preferred)
- Post-secondary education in Agriculture or a related field is an asset
- Strong knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading audits, driving continuous improvement, and working cross-functionally
- Hands-on production, scheduling, and inventory experience
- Proficient with ERP systems (Deacom/SAP) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license
