DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Recruitment, the Manager of Domestic Recruitment will lead and manage King’s domestic recruitment strategy. This role is pivotal in driving undergraduate enrolment growth through the development and execution of recruitment plans targeting potential students across the country.
The Manager of Domestic Recruitment will:
- Collaborate with marketing, develop and implement recruitment plans for the domestic market that will attract qualified students from across the country.
- Carefully oversees the co-ordination of logistics for all Canadian recruitment travel, including the creative solution of any problems that may arise.
- Required to travel in the recruitment/admissions function, including presenting and communicating with teachers, guidance counsellors, principals, potential applicants and their families.
- Represents King's in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, values, goals and strategic plan of the University
- Monitor and assign territory boundaries work allocation, in partnership with Director of Marketing, Communications and Recruitment, to maximize balance, efficiencies and support individual and team success
- Manage and mentor a team of recruitment officers or representatives to meet enrolment targets.
- Provide guidance to the recruitment officers as they develop their recruitment territory plans.
- Ensure the team uses the CRM effectively for lead tracking, segmentation, follow-up and reporting.
- Analyzes, understands, and applies current and historical enrolment data in combination with demographics to determine trends, forecast future opportunities, and inform strategy development.
- Stays informed regarding all aspects of programs, admissions, student life, visual identity and branding, success after graduation, and other issues related to Canadian undergraduate prospective students, applicants, and admitted students, including all relevant research, communications, recruitment initiatives, and how any changes impact Canadian liaison and associated recruitment strategies.
- Understands the importance of ongoing evaluations related to high schools as a basis for determining which schools to visit.
- Provides analysis and reports used to develop policies, practices and procedures regarding student recruitment.
- Cultivate relationships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, and key influencers to promote King’s and its programs.
- Participate actively on provincial recruitment committees (i.e.,GCSR).
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure flawless execution of open houses and Ontario University Fair.
- Provide regular reporting on spending and return on investment (ROI).
- Track and report on key performance indicators (i.e. inquiries, applications, conversion rates) and work with marketing to adjust strategies and tactics to improve outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s/Honours Degree
- Degree within Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, ideally in recruitment in the university sector and/or equivalent experience..
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using CRM platforms and operational data to inform agile decision-making.
- Demonstrated management, leadership and supervisory skills;
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate individuals in a collaborative, service-oriented team environment.
- Well-developed academic insight and understanding of higher education culture.
- Demonstrated strategic-planning proficiency, with evidence of critical-thinking and analytical skills to enable the assessment of opportunities and the development of recruitment initiatives and contributions to change management.
- In-depth knowledge of the university setting and governance;
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, presentational and organizational skills;
- Superior judgement and problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated initiative.
- Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities in a timely and responsive manner.
- Excellent project management skills and an ability to work within a defined budget.
- Domestic travel is necessary.

Permanent Full-Time – 35 hours per week
EFFECTIVE DATE:
As soon as possible
SALARY RANGE:
PSG 15 - $88,007 - $110,194, per annum, dependent on experience.
