On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is looking for an experienced Press Operator for an open vacancy in WATERLOO.

Pay Rate: $23.10/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Shift: Days Monday to Thursday: 7am-4:30, 7:00am -11:00am Fridays during peak production times.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and safely operate automated press and injection moulding equipment
- Prepare molds and tooling for removal following production runs
- Apply mold protectant, clear water lines, and properly tag and store tooling
- Install molds, tooling, and all required equipment for upcoming production jobs
- Coordinate changeovers with material handlers to ensure production readiness
- Produce first-off parts and obtain Quality Control approval prior to production start-up
- Perform quality checks using measuring and inspection equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation
- Monitor production performance and maintain workmanship and quality standards
- Identify production issues and assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, machine set-up, press operation, or injection moulding experience
- Experience completing mold/tool changeovers considered a strong asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficient with measuring tools including Vernier calipers, gauges, and inspection equipment
- Strong understanding of quality standards, defect identification, and corrective actions
- Overhead crane experience considered an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize work and coordinate activities effectively
- Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Reliable attendance record and strong attention to detail
- CSA-approved safety footwear required
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
