We are looking for a Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager to lead our growing Purchasing Team!
Position Summary:
The Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager at Mucci Farms is a leadership development role for an experienced procurement professional with packaging or CPG experience who is ready to advance into management. The role oversees sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchasing, and inventory management for direct (packaging e.g. Corrugate, resin, and film) and indirect materials. The position leads Buyers and Inventory Clerks, drives procurement and inventory best practices, optimizes costs and inventory flow, and supports cross-functional initiatives. It offers opportunities to develop people leadership skills, contribute to strategic decisions, and gain exposure to senior leadership in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities Include:

Lead and Manage Team of employees consisting of Buyers. Assistants and Inventory Clerks

Manage Direct and Indirect Spend categories which include Direct (Corrugate, Resin (Trays, Films, Bags), Labels) and Indirect materials (MRO, PPE, Services)

Capital Equipment Sourcing

Work in conjunction with Packaging Development Manager, Sales & Marketing to source and develop new packaging formats

Negotiate contracts, evaluate and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids with suppliers

Validate negotiation processes and BID’s made by buyers and Supervisor

Provide training and/or update in of good practices regarding to Purchasing department

Ensure the Team will be motivated and aligned with the goals determined by the Senior Management

Prepare and present reports regarding market conditions and organizational spend to Senior Management

Prepare and present ROI report for CAPEX

Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory flow, reduce waste and develop appropriate min/max levels

Ensures storage and inventory control are performed in an efficient manner

Update Senior Management on any current or foreseeable inventory issues

Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education is required
-
PMAC Certificate and/or C.S.C.M.P. Designation preferred/considered an asset

Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role with Purchasing and Inventory Control

Strong negotiation skills to effectively negotiate with Suppliers
-
Must have strong time management skills with an emphasis on meeting deadlines
-
Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills

Experience in leading and managing a team

Advanced MS Office skills (Excel)

Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Physical Abilities:

Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time

Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs

Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs

Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
