The Cambridge Food Bank is looking for an experienced, creative, and highly organized Youth Wellness Coordinator to join our growing Wellness Hub team. This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate and deliver innovative school and community-based that inspires children, youth, teens, and families to develop lifelong food skills, confidence, and healthy habits through hands-on learning
As the Youth Wellness Coordinator, you will coordinate and facilitate engaging school-based educational experiences, including the Cambridge Food Bank’s Seed to Plate food literacy initiative, while delivering hands-on cooking, nutrition, gardening, food systems and wellness programs in schools, at the Cambridge Food Bank, and throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate school-based educational experiences, including the Seed to Plate initiative.
- Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, transportation, volunteers, supplies, and educational resources.
- Delivering nutrition, food literacy, cooking, gardening, and wellness programs for children, youth, teens, and families.
- Coordinate assigned Wellness Hub program portfolios and facilitate recurring children, youth, teen, and family programming.
- Work collaboratively with the Youth Engagement Coordinator and Wellness Hub team to deliver engaging, high-quality programming.
- Contribute to the collaborative development and continuous improvement of curriculum, lesson plans, educational resources, and participant activities.
- Collect program outcomes and participant feedback to support evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Support seasonal programming, including PA Days, March Break, summer initiatives, and special events.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with educators, schools, community partners, volunteers and families to support successful program delivery.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, following food handling and safety practices.

- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to coordinate school schedules, transportation, volunteers, supplies and multiple program logistics simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing ideas and continuously improving programming.
- Confident facilitating both small and large groups.
- Adaptable, creative, and solution focused.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Child & Youth Care, Education, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Recreation, Community Development, Culinary Arts, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience coordinating and/or facilitating programs for children, youth, and families.
- Experience working in schools and/or community-based settings.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, food literacy, cooking, gardening, food systems and environmental sustainability.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Physically able to lift, bend, and be on your feet for most of the day/
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Working Hours:
Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Regular daytime hours with one designated evening program each week and occasional weekend/evening hours to support seasonal initiatives and special events.
The CFB’s regular office hours are Monday 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
