Autobody Paint Prepper
-Must have a valid drivers license, as moving vehilcles in part of the job
-Must be dependable, daily attendance is mandatory
-Key Duties
-SURFACE PREPERATION: Perform all aspects of vehicle prepping , including sanding, masking, taping, priming, and block sanding panels prior to paint application
- FINISHING & POST-PAINT BUFFING: Wet sand, de-nib and buff freshly painted panels to eliminiate imperfections and achievea showroom-quality finish.
- QUALITY CONTROL- Inspect repain areas to ensure they meet Simplicity's high quality standards before they advance to the paint booth or final assembly.
- Execute minor body work as needed
- SHOP SAFETY & EFFICIENCY: Maintain a clean , organized , and safe work environment. Miantain prepping tools, equipment and compound materials
- VEHICLE MOVING: Safely maneuver client vehicles into bays, wash area and staging lines
Qualifications:
-EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience working as a paint prepper in a licensed collision repair facility. ONLY EXPERIENCED PREPPERS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
- ADVANCED BUFFING SKILLS- High proficiency in post-paint buffing and polishing is required to guarentee clean, swirl-free finishes
- VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must hold a valid G2 or G drivers's license with a clean driving record, as moving client vehicles around the shop is required.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately
-RELIABILITY: Strong work ethic with a reputation for being punctual, dependable and ready to work everyday.
-TEAM PLAYER: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with Painters and body technicians.
