Centra Industries Inc., a division of Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC), manufactures airplane parts for the aerospace industry. We are presently seeking to Parts Finisher/Deburring positions available in our Cambridge, Ontario location to cover existing vacancies. Individuals must be available to work a CONTINENTIAL ROTATING and/or an AFTERNOON shift.
Position Overview:
- Complete deburring operations on aluminum, steel, and titanium products using hand-held sanders, grinders and polishers
- Grind or chip excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from the surfaces of metal products
- Visually inspect product and use measuring devices to ensure it is within part specifications
- Consistently follow quality and safety policies and procedures
- Must wear a respirator and remain clean-shaven to ensure proper fit/seal against skin
- Work primarily day shift, but need to be flexible to work other shifts if required
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Clean and maintain equipment in work area
Skills and Experience
- Good mechanical capabilities
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Attention to detail to debur parts to tight tolerances
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Requires manual dexterity
