Overview
We are seeking an autonomous, hands-on Night Shift Production Team Lead to guide a focused small and focused production team in our custom framing and canvas stretching department. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking leadership roles in manufacturing operations with a focus on process excellence and team development during night shifts.

In this role, you will balance active craftsmanship with operational leadership. You will be the senior presence on the floor, responsible for workflow, safety, quality control, and utilizing ERP systems to keep production running efficiently.

Duties

Team Leadership & Production: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to meet daily production goals for stretched canvases and custom framing.
Quality & Process Control: Monitor manufacturing processes, ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards.
Operations & ERP Management: Utilize ERP systems and tools to plan, schedule, and track production activities.
Inventory & Supplier Relations: Oversee stock levels and product storage, ordering supplies and materials as needed and maintaining a positive relationship with suppliers.
Facility & Maintenance: Ensure facilities are kept in order and machines are operational.
Cross-Shift Collaboration: Collaborate with the daytime team as needed to ensure seamless operational handoffs.

Skills

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively during night shifts while maintaining a positive shop culture
Experience in process improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and demonstrate proficiency with miter saws, pneumatic staple guns, canvas stretching machines, or v-nailers
Knowledge of supply chain management principles within a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with quality control standards, strict enforcement of PPE such as eye and ear protection, and practices in a production environment
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and the comfort to make decisions independently with less immediate support from upper management or HR during the shift
Strong workflow management skills to assign daily tasks, track production metrics, and ensure the team meets nightly output goals of approximately 20 projects per shift or 5 canvases per person
Strong communication skills for clear coordination across departments and the reliability to handle closing responsibilities including locking up at the end of the shift
Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related fields is preferred

Working shifts would be Monday to Friday from 3pm to 11pm

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
