Role Summary
The Branch Manager will lead the Kelowna retail branch as the primary sales and operations lead, responsible for driving revenue, managing day-to-day branch performance, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
What’s in it for you?
For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to help build the branch from day one and grow with the business. For managers who build a strong branch, TMG intends to open a long-term equity or partnership path once the branch is trading and the ownership structure is settled. Terms would be agreed at that point.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Sales: Drive monthly branch sales and build a strong local customer base through walk-ins, referrals, and cold calling. Identify local business opportunities and develop strategies to grow market share
- Online Orders: The branch is also a distribution point for TMG's online business. Make sure online orders are picked, staged and ready for customer pickup, and arrange local delivery where it makes sense.
- Inventory: Maintain the right inventory mix for local demand and keep equipment organized, available, and customer ready.
- Service & Repairs: Work w/the Mechanic and oversee repair work to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, professionally, and on time.
- Customer Experience: Deliver excellent service that drives repeat business and long-term customer relationships.
- On the Road: Drive a TMG vehicle out to customer sites to see the job first-hand, size up what the customer actually needs, and drop off nearby deliveries when it helps win or keep the work.
- Operations: Run the branch with strong accountability and limited supervision while working with head office to order equipment from TMG based on local market demand
- Social: Log in daily to the branch's Facebook page to read comments and messages and reply to customers. Head office prepares and posts all content — you handle the conversations.
- Targets: Meet branch revenue, margin, safety, and operational goals set by management.
- Safety & Compliance: Own the opening and closing routine & keep the branch compliant with provincial workers' requirements.
What You Bring:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in equipment sales, branch operations, retail management, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of farming, automotive, construction, or similar equipment
- A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability
- Has understanding of P&L and other key financial controls to run a successful and profitable branch
- A valid driver's licence in good standing
- Forklift certification is an asset; if you don't have it, we'll arrange it
