Job description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment. In this role, you will be responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance tasks while also assisting with light stocking duties and general store operations as needed. You will play an important role in ensuring a positive experience for both customers and employees.

Janitor– Your Role
Reporting to the management team, the Janitor plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for customers and employees. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and store presentation. In addition to cleaning responsibilities, the Janitor will assist with light stocking duties and support general store operations as required.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning of the store.
- Daily cleaning of bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Separate and dispose of garbage and recyclables properly.
- Clean interior glass, windows, display cases, shelves, and aisles.
- Dust partitions, shelves, cabinets, fixtures, and vents.
- Monitor cleaning and sanitizing supplies and notify management when replenishment is required.
- Respond promptly to cleaning and maintenance requests.
- Assist with light stocking duties, including replenishing shelves and maintaining product presentation.
- Help organize stockrooms, overstock areas, and receiving areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with putting away merchandise as required.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- Previous cleaning and maintenance experience is an asset; all relevant experience will be considered.
- 1 year of cleaning and/or janitorial experience preferred.
- Interest in the tool industry.
- Ability to work in an organized manner while demonstrating good judgment, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Details
- Full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week)
- Five-day workweek includes two days off: Sunday (store closed) and one weekday
- Must be available to work Saturdays
