Why This Role Matters
Detailers play a key part in the customer experience, helping ensure every vehicle leaves our shop looking its best. You’ll learn how collision shops work from the ground up, gain hands on skills, and get exposure to the cleaning and handling requirements of today’s high tech vehicles, including EVs and ADAS equipped models. You’ll build a foundation for future roles in:
- Auto Body Technician (Apprenticeship)
- Automotive Painter
- Collision Estimator
- Parts Coordinator
- Shop Leadership & Management

What You’ll Do
- Clean and prepare vehicles inside and out after repair including EVs, hybrids, and vehicles with advanced driver-assist technologies
- Inspect vehicles for quality and help ensure they meet our standards
- Assist technicians and team members as needed
- Move vehicles safely around the shop and lot
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Represent Kirmac with a friendly, professional attitude
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, being part of a team, and taking pride in a clean, finished product while learning the fundamentals of modern, tech driven collision repair.
What You Bring
- A willingness to learn and work hard
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well with others and follow instructions
- Valid BC driver’s license (N is totally fine!)
- Interest in cars or trades is a bonus
No experience? No problem. We’ll train you.
