The Opportunity

Columbia Garden Village – Assisted Living | Invermere, BC
Position Type: Permanent, Part-Time (0.51 FTE)
Shift Schedule: Day/Evening

We’re seeking a dedicated Assisted Living Worker (ALW) who demonstrates compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting residents’ independence, dignity, and overall well-being through person-centered care.

What You'll Do

Provide personal care services to residents in accordance with individualized service plans (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility and hygiene duties)
Respond promptly to resident needs and requests for assistance
Support and participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities (outings, special events and socialization)
Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal and tray service as required.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow care protocols.
Promote a safe environment by adhering to safety and infection control policies and procedures
Contribute positively as a reliable and supportive team member.

What You Bring

Current registration and in good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR);
Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
Proven computer experience;
Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
