About The Role:

What You'll Do:
-
Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment on a variety of engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

Repairing mechanical systems by following health and safety standards, instructions, diagrams, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
-
Observing mechanical devices and locate source of problems by using precision measuring and testing instruments, examining the form and texture of parts.
-
Removing defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
-
Determining changes in dimensional requirement of parts by inspecting used parts and measuring instruments.
-
Controlling instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Adjust functional parts of devices as required.
-
Conserve maintenance resources by fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
-
Preparing mechanical maintenance reports and carry out routine checks and preventive maintenance on the equipment.
-
Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
-
Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn parts of machines and equipment, ensuring the area is free of hazardous objects or substances.
-
Assist with supervising external technicians or subcontractors and collaborating with the external repair team, keeping and submitting reports of work activities and progresses.
-
Maintaining up to date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
-
Preparing parts for welding and/or machining and complete welding as required.
-
Operating appropriate blending and deburring equipment including, but not limited to, die grinders, pencil grinders, belt sanders, mounted stones, etc.
-
Performing activities associated with tear down, repair of hydraulic equipment, and machines and components.
-
Performing assembly, disassembly, blast, braze, sizing, heat treat, and cleaning operations as specified in the travelers.
-
Performing manual repairs when necessary, including but not limited to fixing locks and replacing windows etc.
-
Conducting general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned such as landscaping, painting and carpentry etc.
-
Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping common workstations and areas clean.
-
Work as a team to overcome shift obstacles, exceed daily department targets and celebrate team successes.
-
Promote Tempo’s core values by working within all company policies and procedures.

Other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager.
Schedule Our Flex‑Life Schedule is designed to give you more time off, without sacrificing full‑time pay:
-
12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
-
Rotating every 2 weeks days and nights (7:00am to 7:00pm AND 7:00pm to 7:00am)
-
Work 36 hours per week, be eligible to be paid for 40 hours
-
16 days off a month!
Qualifications:
-
Licensed Millwright or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) required
-
3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician
-
Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
-
Ability to read blueprints, both electrical and mechanical
-
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
-
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
-
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
High level of Health & Safety knowledge and standards
