Job Summary

Jade Transport Ltd. is a leader in the trucking industry and is looking to expand its team. If you have seen our trucks on the highway, you know we take pride in the work we do. We are looking for an assistant terminal manager to join our team and help keep the trucks rolling.

Responsibilities and Duties

Support Terminal Manager with daily operations and administrative work. Provide guidance to drivers, operations and mechanical staff.
Ensure fleet maintenance supports the terminal operations in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Coordinate technicians, equipment and vendors. Manage the inventory control process in conjunction with the accounting team.
Dispatch drivers and owner-operators efficiently. Coordinate equipment utilization. Monitor GPS and ELD systems
Monitor staff performance and compliance
Maintain customer communication
Monitor regulatory compliance

Hours of work: As per scheduled shift, subject to change as per operations manager, on-call duties.

Qualifications and Skills

2 years of trucking or logistics experience
High school diploma
Post secondary education preferred
Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to learn other trucking software and satellite systems (Axon ETA and Peoplenet)
Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$87,000.00 per year
