Claims Coordinator & Risk Management Administrator

Hybrid | Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm

Comma Recruitment is working with a well respected multi-department organization seeking a Claims Coordinator & Risk Management Administrator to join its Risk Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys coordinating claims, reviewing insurance documentation, and working closely with internal departments, brokers, and insurers.

This hybrid position offers excellent work-life balance, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to play an important role in protecting the organization's risk management interests.

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and process Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure contractual compliance.
Review insurance and indemnification provisions within contracts and provide recommendations regarding insurance requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between our departments, our insurance broker, insurers, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate insurance requirements for contracts, projects, and agreements.
Assist departments with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on risk management requirements.
Support the initial intake, administration, and coordination of claims, ensuring timely processing and documentation.
Work closely with the Risk Management Officer to facilitate the efficient investigation and resolution of claims.
Maintain insurance, claims, and litigation records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Prepare reports, statistics, and claims data to support ongoing risk management initiatives.
Assist with insurance renewals, documentation, policy administration, and related risk management activities.
Coordinate with internal departments to promote effective risk management practices across the organization.

Qualifications

Previous experience in claims administration, insurance coordination, risk management, or commercial insurance.
Experience reviewing Certificates of Insurance (COIs) is essential.
Experience reviewing contractual insurance and indemnity provisions is highly desirable.
Municipal insurance or public sector insurance experience would be considered a significant asset.
Auto claims experience would be an asset.
CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation, or progress toward completion, is considered a strong asset.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and insurance administration systems.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented insurance claims and admin professional who enjoys working collaboratively across multiple departments. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to interpret insurance documentation while providing exceptional internal customer service.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

Monday to Friday
8:30am – 4:30pm
Hybrid work environment (primarily work from home with attendance required for meetings and operational needs)
