We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our field operations, oversee project execution, drive operational efficiency, and support continued growth across multiple service divisions.

Position Overview
The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day company operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will lead field crews, manage equipment and scheduling, coordinate with clients, and help scale operational capacity as the company continues to expand.
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, operational planning experience, and a solid understanding of industrial field service environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Manage daily field operations across hydroseeding, reclamation, and herbicide application divisions
- Oversee scheduling of personnel, equipment, and project mobilization
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget
- Coordinate logistics for crews working in remote and industrial environments
- Monitor operational performance and identify efficiency improvements
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise field supervisors, technicians, and project crews
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and workforce development
- Build a strong safety-focused operational culture
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
Client & Project Management
- Coordinate directly with oil and gas clients, project managers, and contractors
- Support project planning, work execution strategies, and service delivery
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high service standards
- Assist in preparing work plans, job costing, and project reporting
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs and industry regulations
- Oversee equipment inspections, maintenance scheduling, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure proper documentation for environmental and operational reporting
Business Growth & Strategy
- Support company leadership with operational planning and strategic growth initiatives
- Assist in developing new service opportunities within industrial and environmental markets
- Improve systems, processes, and operational workflows to support company expansion
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in operations management, field services, or industrial project management
- Experience working within the oil and gas, environmental services, reclamation, or industrial contracting sectors
- Strong understanding of vegetation management, hydroseeding, reclamation, or industrial spraying operations is considered an asset
- Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple field crews
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience managing heavy equipment, fleet scheduling, and field logistics
- Knowledge of safety management systems and industrial worksite compliance requirements
- Experience with budgeting, job costing, and operational reporting
Preferred Experience
- Oil & Gas service industry background
- Industrial herbicide application programs
- Pipeline, facility, right-of-way, or reclamation projects
- Experience working with major energy-sector clients
