Reports to:
· Board of governors; the board chair is the primary point of contact.

· Program funders, community leaders, strategic partners, local NFPs in the same sector
Executive Leadership
· Create and foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture
· Ensure both office locations see themselves as one organization
· Lead by example demonstrating the organization’s values.
· Recruit, supervise and support staff to ensure operational excellence.
· Develop and implement systems and processes to improve organizational efficiency.
· Responsible for recruitment, retention, personal development planning, performance management, succession planning and exit interviews for all staff.
· Primary spokesperson for the organization, accountable for the communications plan.
· Responsible for oversight of organizational branding, and web page effectiveness.
Finance:
· Accountable for the financial health and sustainability of the organization
· Managing a cost centre with an operating budget of up to $0.5M
· Produce an annual budget, from January to December each year, for board approval. Track and report progress against it to the board at each board meeting.
· Develop and implement a fund-raising strategy
· Comply with all applicable legislation and funder requirements.

· Salary between $70k - $90k plus benefits, commensurate with qualifications, experience and ability to bring in new program funding
Stakeholder Relations
· Primary interface with funders, public, board, staff and key stakeholders
Strategic Planning and Oversight
· Assist board in developing, implementing, maintaining & monitoring the strategic plan
· Accountable for vision, mission, values & sustainability of organization.
Risk Management & Compliance
· Responsible for creating and maintaining the risk management plan – identifying, assessing and mitigating financial, operational and reputational risks.
· Ensure organization is compliant with all relevant legislation, regulatory and government requirements.
· Ensure staff are compliant with organizational policies.
· Accountable person for health and safety in the organization.
Board Relations
· Advise and assist the board in strategic planning
· Ensure board is kept up to date on key operational matters
Prepare the board meeting package, together with the board
Position location:
· In person with time divided equally between Estevan and Weyburn offices; other travel to service areas in SE Saskatchewan may be required.
· Expected to reside within easily commutable distance of the office locations.
Key educational Requirements. experience & skills
· A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Verifiable, relevant experience will also be considered in lieu of qualifications.
· Proven experience in senior leadership, typically 5+ years in the industry with a proven track record of success.
· Experience initiating and developing relationships with communities, networks and organizations.
· Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with provincial government officials, partners and policy makers.
· Good public speaking, presentation, communication and facilitation skills.
