Description

As an SCM Solution Architect, you’ll set the strategic direction for architecture across SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, and OpenText, and help ensure processes from Plan–Source–Make–Deliver–Return plus Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) work together as one cohesive, compliant ecosystem. If you enjoy turning complex business needs into scalable solutions and guiding cross-functional teams toward architectural clarity, this role is your stage.
Required Skills

Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
Ability to design solutions with a long-term architectural vision, balancing standard SAP capabilities with business-specific needs
Experience with SAP Finance (FI), including financial postings, invoice processing, and integration points with procurement and supply chain
Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA in S2C (Source to Contract) or P2P (Procure to Pay) modules
Experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation programs, including process harmonization, change management, and system integration
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and related applications
Leadership or supervisory experience in IT testing and validation, especially for Ariba updates
Proven ability to lead requirement gathering sessions and assess solution feasibility
Solid understanding of public-sector procurement practices and compliance frameworks
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including source to pay, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance

Nice to Have Skills

Ariba certification
Fieldglass certification
PMI PMP certification
SAP certification covering S/4HANA P2P (Procure to Pay)
Experience implementing recognized project management methodologies and standards
Experience with the TOGAF framework
Experience working in or for the public sector
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification

Preferred Education and Experience

Preferred education: Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
Preferred experience level: Hands-on, architecture-focused background supporting enterprise transformation, with demonstrable work across SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and procurement/finance integration

Other Requirements

Work must be completed from within Canada due to network and data security requirements
Working hours: 08:15–16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays observed by the Province)
Location expectation: in-office availability 5 days per week/month in downtown Edmonton, Alberta
