Durham Furniture is a Canadian manufacturer of premium solid wood bedroom furniture with approximately 160 employees. For over 125 years, we have built a reputation for craftsmanship, quality, and long-term stability. Our technology environment supports manufacturing, warehousing, sales, customer service, and administration functions across the organization.
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain the technology systems that keep our business running.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and supporting a wide range of technologies in a manufacturing environment. As the primary IT resource for the company, you will work closely with employees across all departments to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain servers, networks, workstations, wireless systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to office, warehouse, and production employees.
- Administer user accounts, security permissions, backups, and cybersecurity measures.
- Support ERP, reporting, barcode, labeling, and other business-critical applications.
- Manage relationships with software, hardware, telecommunications, and IT service providers.
- Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues and coordinate resolutions.
- Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance and support activities when required.
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting business technology systems, networks, and users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft SQL Server, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, or cloud technologies is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
