As our business continues to grow, we're looking for another skilled mechanic to join our Abbotsford Service team.

This Isn't Your Typical Mechanic Position
As an Emergency Vehicle Mechanic, you'll work on highly specialised equipment, including:
- Custom fire apparatus
- Diesel engines and drivetrains
- Fire pumps and plumbing systems
- Hydraulic aerial devices
- Multiplex electrical systems
- Emergency lighting and warning systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Rescue equipment

What You'll Do
You'll play an important role in keeping emergency vehicles operating safely and reliably by:
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and operational issues
- Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on fire apparatus
- Completing pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles
- Testing vehicles and equipment to ensure repairs meet OEM and company quality standards
- Troubleshooting complex vehicle systems using modern diagnostic equipment
- Reviewing work orders and communicating with the Service Foreman throughout the repair process
- Completing accurate service documentation and time reporting
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Working collaboratively with our Service Advisors, Parts team and fellow Technicians to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- This position may require occasional work on evenings and weekends, outside of regular work hours.

What You Bring
Required
- Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic or equivalent trade certification
- Minimum five years of mechanical experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems
- Experience using diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment
- Valid BC Driver's License (air brake endorsement or willingness to obtain within six months)
- Valid passport with the ability to travel to the United States for training
Preferred
- Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification
- Experience working on vocational or emergency vehicles
- Knowledge of multiplex electrical systems
- Hydraulic and pump system experience
- OEM diagnostic software experience
